Dear GMA
Parents, Swimmers and Coaches,
We are very excited to
start our end-of-season meets. This is such a thrilling time
of year as our swimmers realize the rewards for their hard work all
season and enjoy a positive team experience with GMA. We hope
that you are looking forward to it as much as we are.
The Regional Meet
entries have been completed. They are due to NCAC
TODAY. Therefore, ALL GMA FAMILIES must review the Regional Meet
entries. Please note:
(1) whether or not your
children are entered
(2) if they are entered
in the events in which they want to swim
(3) if they are entered
with the proper entry times
(4) Please also pay
attention to the relays in which your children are entered.
If they are listed as athlete number 1, 2, 3 or 4, they are the
primary athletes selected for that relay. If they are listed
as athlete number 5, 6,7 or 8, they are the relay alternates and
may be needed to swim the relay once we get to the
meet.

TODAY, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 2ND, 2010 IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR CHILD
ENTERED IN THE REGIONAL MEET AND/OR YOUR CHILD'S MEET ENTRIES NEED
TO BE ALTERED IN ANY WAY. All entries
will be FINALIZED at 5:00 p.m. today and your family will be fully
responsible for all meet fees and surcharges, regardless of your
atheltes' participation in the meet.
We hope that we will
have all of our GMA athletes who are qualified for the
Regional Meet in attendance at the meet. Of course, for the
athletes attending the 12 and Under Championship Meet the following
weekend, it is up to the parents, athletes and coaches to determine
whether or not participation in the Regional Meet makes
sense. We recommend that the 13 and older athletes
with qualifying times for both the 13-19 Age Group Championship
Meet and the Regional Meet attend the Regional Meet as a positive
competitive experience.
Once the entries are
finalized, I will prepare meet packets with detailed meet
information for all of our athletes attending the meet.
