13-16 Charlotte UltraSwim Grand Prix in Charlotte, NC  (qualifying times required to attend)

  For GMA Sectional and National swimmers with meet qualifying times and Sectional Group practice attendance requirements.  This is a very competitive meet

  for swimmers reaching toward National-level competition.

 

14-16 Harvard May Classic Long Course Meet in Cambridge, MA

  For GMA Age Groups, Senior, Sectional and National swimmers. This is an indoor meet at one of New England's finest long course facilities.

  The meet offers an excellent array of events.

30 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:  Vermont City Marathon Water Station

  20 volunteers needed between 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

   
June 5 - 6 SSA Team Specialty Meet  in Dover, New Hampshire

  Team Hotel:  TBD

  Ideal for GMA Age Group and Senior swimmers.  This is an outdoor meet.

  The weather is unpredictable and the team is stationed out-of-doors throughout the meet.

  The pool is heated to about 80 degrees.  The meet offers a limited amount of events and mostly competitors from New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts.

   

17 - 20 International XTRASLUSH Invitational  in Montreal, QUE 

  Recommended Hotel: TBD

  For GMA Age Group, Senior and Sectional swimmers with meet qualifying times.  This is an outdoor meet located in a city park.  The facility is quite spacious

  and includes two 50-meter pools.  Transportation to the facility is best achieved

  using the Metro system.  The meet offers access to a limited amount of events - 

  swimmers may participate in 3 events per day.  Trials/ Finals for 11 and older swimmers in the Invitational Meet and timed finals for 12 and under swimmers

  in the Developmental Meet.

9 - 11 New England Regional Meet - REQUIRED for all athletes who qualify.  Springfield College in Springfield, MA

  This meet is an introduction to the New England Swimming end-of-season meets.  It offers an excellent opportunity for all of our GMA swimmers to experience racing

  at the end of the long course season.

22 - 25 New England 14 and Under Championships at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA

  Required for all qualified.  

  This is a challenging and competitive meet for swimmers ages 10 & Under, 11-12 and 13-14 swimmers only.  10 & Under swimmers race in timed final events.

  11-12 and 13-14 swimmers race in prelims-finals events.  

  Most GMA Age Groups Group swimmers strive to race at the New England 14 and Under Championships and are encouraged by their coaches to attend 4 training

  sessions per week.

  All GMA Senior, Sectional and National swimmers with the meet qualifying times must have 4.5 weekly practice average for the season with 90% practice attendance

  at all Saturday practices.

  GMA also prefers to bring our four fastest swimmers in each age group to compete on the relays.

   

30 - August 2 New England Open Championships at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA

    For GMA National Group swimmers with the meet qualifying times.
    Required for all who qualify and have 6.75 weekly practice average for the season with 90% practice attendance at all Saturday practices
    Prelims-Finals meet for National-level athletes.
     
  9 - 13 USA Swimming Junior Championships in Irvine, CA
    Team Hotel: Courtyard Marriott Irvine
    Required for all qualified.
    For GMA Sectional and National swimmers with the meet qualifying times.
    Required for all who qualify and have 6.3 weekly practice average for the season with 90% practice attendance at all Saturday practices
    Prelims-Finals meet for Junior National-level and up swimmers.
     
  11 - 14 Eastern Zone Championship Meet in Rockland, MD
    Recommended for all qualified.
    This is a challenging and competitive meet for swimmers in all age groups.  10 & Under swimmers race in timed final events.
    11-12, 13-14 and 15-18 swimmers race in prelims-finals events.  
    Most GMA Age Groups Group swimmers strive to race at the Eastern Zone Championships and are encouraged by their coaches to attend 4 training
    sessions per week.
    All GMA Senior, Sectional and National swimmers with the meet qualifying times must have 4.5 weekly practice average or the season with 90% practice attendance
    at all Saturday practices.  ALL swimmers must APPLY to attend the meet, pay
    the appropriate trip fees to New England Swimming and commit
    to attend the meet as part of the New England Swimming Zone Team.
